As part of the Festival of British Archaeology鈥� members of staff from the University鈥檚 Archaeology department will be welcoming the replica Bantry Bay gig Int茅grit茅 to its new berth at Buckler鈥檚 Hard. There will be a full day of activities鈥� including a demonstration of ship building techniques鈥� and a chance to try out various experimental archaeology techniques.
The event will take place at Buckler鈥檚 Hard, and a reduced fee has been negotiated for members of University staff. To qualify鈥� you will need to bring with you a University of Southampton id card. Reduced prices are 拢5 for adults, 拢4 for senior citizens, 拢3.40 and 拢3.50 for children, and 拢16 for families.
Activities take place throughout the day. The ceremony to welcome the gig will start at 2pm.
