Professor Nick Foskett鈥 Dean of the Faculty of Law鈥 Arts and Social Sciences鈥 has today been announced as the next Vice-Chancellor at Keele University.
鈥淚 am delighted to be taking on the role of Vice鈥揅hancellor at Keele in succession to Professor Dame Janet Finch鈥氣 says Nick鈥 who takes up his appointment on 1 August 2010. 鈥淚 also look forward to returning to North Staffordshire where my family has its roots.鈥
Vice鈥揅hancellor鈥 Professor Don Nutbeam, comments: 鈥淚 congratulate both the University of Keele and Nick Foskett himself on this appointment. Nick鈥檚 energy鈥 leadership and experience鈥 together with his outstanding academic background in education鈥 will make him an excellent Vice鈥揅hancellor.
鈥淭he past decade has seen the appointment of several leading University of Southampton academics to the position of Vice-Chancellor at other UK universities. It is very pleasing to see this excellent tradition continue with Nick Foskett鈥檚 appointment at Keele.鈥
