Following consultation with senior colleagues鈥� the Chair of Council and Treasurer鈥� and consideration of models used in comparator universities鈥� the position of Registrar and Chief Operating Officer will鈥� in the future鈥� be divided into two new posts.

Corporate Services
* There will no longer be a Chief Financial Officer role, but there will be a Finance Director role.
Both the Registrar and COO will form part of the University Executive Group and report directly to the Vice-Chancellor. They will have a shared responsibility for ensuring consistency in the central management and local Faculty responsiveness of our Professional Services.
Both positions will be considered 鈥渘ew positions鈥� and will be advertised for open competition in January 2011. The Job Descriptions are currently being finalised and should be available in January 2011.
