Following a nationally competitive recruitment process鈥毬爐he Chair of聽Council has聽approved the appointment of Malcolm Ace as the University鈥檚 Chief Operating Officer. He will take up his position today (Monday 28 March 2011).
Malcolm was previously the Director of Finance having been appointed in August 2004鈥� from a similar role at Portsmouth University. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer in April 2010 taking on expanded operational and strategic responsibilities to include Estates and IT.
Malcolm commented: 鈥淭he outside environment is changing faster than it ever has in my career鈥� and it is a real privilege to be appointed to lead the professional services teams at this crucial time for the University鈥檚 future.
