Helen Alexander鈥� CBE鈥� the current president of the CBI鈥� has been appointed to succeed Sir John Parker as Chancellor of the University鈥� when he reaches the end of his term in office this year.
Helen Alexander has wide and varied experience in international business鈥� having been Chief Executive of the Economist Group until 2008鈥� where she was for some time managing director of the Economist Intelligence Unit.
She is currently a trustee of the WWW (World Wide Web) Foundation and chair of the Business Advisory Council of the Said Business School鈥� Oxford University.

Helen Alexander has an MBA from INSEAD and is an Honorary Fellow of Hertford College鈥� Oxford. She has previously held non-executive positions with Northern Foods and BT, and is currently chairman of Incisive Media and the Port of London Authority as well as holding non-executive positions at Centrica and Rolls-Royce Group. She is also a senior adviser to Bain Capital.
