Warhol Uncovered? Two-day conference organised by the John Hansard Gallery

This two鈥揹ay conference is open to all Warhol enthusiasts聽鈥 whether you鈥檙e an undergraduate or postgraduate student鈥 or a member of the general public. Although much has been said about Andy Warhol鈥 he remains one of the 20th century鈥檚 most elusive artists. The conference aims to investigate the major themes in the artist鈥檚 work such as fame鈥 consumerism and death鈥 and asks 鈥渃an Warhol be uncovered?鈥 Each day a keynote speaker will present an illuminating approach to Warhol鈥檚 work to help motivate critical thought throughout the conference. The keynote speech will be followed by a selection of innovative papers by UK and international students. On the second day the academic sessions of the conference will close with a plenary discussion which questions whether Warhol has been uncovered?
