Lord聽Winston鈥� Professor of Science and Society and Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College鈥� runs a research programme in the Institute of Reproductive and Developmental Biology on improvements in transgenic technology in animal models鈥� with a long鈥搕erm aim of improving human transplantation. He has around 300 scientific publications in peer鈥搑eview journals on reproduction and embryology. He was voted 鈥淧eer of the Year鈥� by his fellow Parliamentarians in June 2008 for his expertise and work on the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill.
The University of Southampton鈥檚 Institute for Life Sciences is a unique research collaboration which will address complex global challenges in healthcare, technology and climate change by drawing together world-leading expertise from the fields of engineering, medicine, bioscience and computer science.
