Curriculum Innovation Module Fair, Thursday 20 October, Hartley Suite

The Curriculum Innovation team are holding an event to promote new module opportunities for some students in the Faculties of Humanities and Social and Human Sciences – staff are also welcome to come along to find out more.

Semester 2 this year will see some students from the Faculties of Humanities and Social and Human Sciences embarking on newly-designed modules, language modules and some existing modules which have been opened up more widely. At the event they will be given information about what would be involved and the attributes they will gain from taking these modules.

Members of staff will also be able to meet with module designers to ask them questions about what they will be offering to students. They can also discuss the process of designing modules through the Curriculum Innovation Programme.

The modules on offer this year form the first phase of opening up our curriculum more widely. Peter Smith, Associate Dean (Education and the Student Experience), will shortly be contacting academics around the university to encourage others to offer interdisciplinary modules to a wider range of students next academic year. If this is something you might be interested in doing next year, come along to the Module Fair to find out more.
