On 19 April Dame Helen Alexander DBE will be officially installed as the Chancellor of the University鈥� in an important historical and ceremonial occasion for the University. We are pleased to announce that staff and students will be able to participate鈥� by applying for a place to attend the event or by watching the live web stream of the ceremony.
Dame Helen Alexander is known for her wide and varied experience in international business. She is Deputy President of the CBI鈥� where she was President until June 2011. She is chairman of the Port of London Authority鈥� a non鈥揺xecutive director and chair of the remuneration committee at Rolls鈥揜oyce Group plc鈥� and senior adviser to Bain Capital. She is a Trustee of the World Wide Web Foundation. As Chancellor she would be our most senior ambassador.
The ceremony will be 40 minutes long鈥� with pageantry鈥� speeches and music provided by University staff and students.

Please note that places are limited and pre鈥搑egistration is essential, entry will be by badge only due to the limited capacity of the venue. The Office of the Vice-Chancellor will provide the badge and full event details when they confirm places.
