Win two tickets to a new adaptation of The Diary of Anne Frank

Sixth formers, University students, staff and alumni lead the cast of ‘The Diary of Anne Frank’ at the Nuffield.

Southampton audiences have a rare opportunity to see a powerful new version of one of the 20th century鈥檚 most enduring stories.

This summer is the 70th anniversary of the betrayal of Otto Frank, his family and friends to the Nazi occupying forces, after hiding in a cramped attic for over two years. In February, local theatregoers can share their struggle in a powerful and moving Tony Award-nominated adaptation of Anne鈥檚 diaries.鈥淎nne was inspiring in her refusal to give up hope: Nelson Mandela said he and his fellow prisoners read her diary to gain inspiration.鈥淚n spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart鈥 鈥 Anne Frank

The Broadway cast included a young Natalie Portman, later to become a Hollywood superstar. This SUP production also features outstanding young talent in principal roles, including local college students April Napper聽as Anne, Kat Smith as her sister Margot, Simon Crispin as Peter Van Daan聽and Southampton University student Jonathan Sketchley聽as Mr. Dussel. 鈥淚鈥檓 delighted to have such a skilled and professional young cast 鈥 they are brilliant,鈥 says the Director. 鈥淚n fact, we鈥檙e fortunate to have such a fantastic ensemble cast all-round.鈥
