WSA’s first careers fair – Re:work welcomes 25 companies and speakers including the founder of Jack Wills

Winchester School of Art’s first careers fair, Re:work, will take place on Thursday 13 March on West Side, from 11am to 4pm.

This is an opportunity for students to talk one to one with national and local employers, find out what they do and what jobs, placements, work experience and volunteering they offer.

There are some exciting companies exhibiting at Re:work:  Estee Lauder, whose 25 companies include Clinique, Jo Malone, Donna Karan, Tom Ford and Tommy Hilfiger.  We have Karen Millen, New Look and Mint Velvet and design agencies Glow, Nuko, Park Corner Design, Fever and Kin Design.  Surface designers Peagreen and creative agency Candco will open their Winchester studios for you to visit.

Speakers in Lecture Theatre A from 12-4pm are Hayley Quinn, the UK’s best-known dating coach, who will talk about social skills; Daniel Riches, a social media guru, who will show you how to jobhunt on Twitter; Rob Shaw, the founder of Jack Wills, will describe how the firm was founded and how it has grown; Helen Waluga, manager of Winchester’s LK Bennett will talk about working in the fashion industry and Tony Lamsdale will tell you about design jobs at IBM.  Alumni Alick Cotterill, freelance photographer, and Haneef Khan of international WPP company Blue State Digital will talk about life after graduation.
