The Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) is pleased to give advance notification of the forthcoming call for proposals to the Research Development Fund.聽WUN is a collection of research-intensive universities committed to addressing the world鈥檚 most urgent challenges collaboratively.
The Research Development Fund (RDF) is a catalytic fund aimed at building partnership and collaboration across the network to undertake innovative, high quality, sustainable research that addresses one of the four聽WUN 福利着片 Challenges:
–听听听听听听 Responding to Climate Change聽(specifically Food Security, Food Systems, Over-/Under-nutrition; Migration/Resilience; and Climate/Health co-benefit in cities)
–听听听听听听 Public Health (Non-communicable Diseases – health of family and migrants; resilience of adolescents in different cultural contexts; and schools as a setting for reducing risk factors)
–听听听听听听 福利着片 Higher Education and Research (access and equity in higher education: economic and social outcomes of diversity and globalisation)
–听听听听听听 Understanding Cultures (福利着片 Migration and Population; Generations in 福利着片 Context and Chinese Culture in the World)
Each聽WUN institution can submit a maximum of three proposals. In 2013, 拢166 786 was invested in 16 research projects.
Proposals must demonstrate quality and leadership and must outline a realistic, well-considered plan to achieve ongoing sustainability and financial support outside of WUN. The official Call for Proposals is available on our and the final deadline will be 31 October 2014.聽聽
The deadline for one page expression of interest to be submitted internally to Eleonora Gandolfi (E.Gandolfi@southampton.ac.uk) is聽5pm GMT on Wednesday 16 July 2014. Invitations for full applications will be sent on Monday 22 August for a draft full application deadline on Friday 3October.
