Professor Emeritus Taylor will deliver his聽lecture entitled 鈥淢aterial and Meaning in Modern Art鈥�, a talk about the three-way聽relations between material, making and meaning in one important branch of modern pictorial and sculptural art, roughly that defined by terms such as ‘construction’, ‘composition’ and ‘structure’.
Brandon Taylor is Professor Emeritus in History of Art at Southampton聽and Tutor in History and Theory of Art, Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford.
