The third annual review, celebration and awards for the University Roadshow聽– took place last week.聽
The Roadshow Awards 2014 were presented by Professor Judith Petts, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research & Enterprise) and the event was hosted by the Roadshow鈥檚 co-ordinating team, Dr Steve Dorney and Dr Tony Curran.
This year鈥檚 winners were:
- Research Communicator Awards 鈥� Natt Day, Ed Musgrove, Chao You, Jess Donaldson, Sandra Mueller
- Best Engagement Activity 鈥� VerBon Cheung and the Nostalgia team
- Evaluation Award 鈥� Hannah Wardropper and the 鈥楰iller T-cells鈥� team
- Activity Design Award鈥� Hitasha Rupani and the 鈥楲ungs鈥� team
- Best Collaboration/External Partner 鈥� Anthony Gallagher
- Best Host 鈥� Winchester Science Festival
- Innovation and Development Award 鈥� Luke Muscutt
- Outstanding Commitment Awards鈥� Rich McIlroy, Mahdi Kiaee, Steve Phillips (Mad Science East of England) , Will Ashley
Professor Petts said: 鈥淭he Roadshow is a very special Southampton activity. Staff and students have brought our research to life for public audiences not only through their knowledge but also their infectious enthusiasm.鈥�
