Why is it that, in 2015, women continue to feel unsafe in our cities? Â What social, economic and political factors contribute to this feeling and what changes need to take place in our society so that all of our citizens become empowered, regardless of their gender?
At the Social Innovation Cafe, we will be talking about these issues – hearing from third sector and community practitioners about their experiences and working together to think of new, innovative ways to make our cities safer for women of all ages and backgrounds. Â
The Social Innovation Cafe takes place from:
13:00 – 14:30 on Wednesday 13 May in the Nuffield Kitchen
It is open to all students and staff at the University.  Â
The Social Innovation Cafe is run by the Social Innovation Lab at the University of Southampton –Â a pan-university programme designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge and connections to become the change makers and social entrepreneurs of the future. Â
