Conference for 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt

In partnership withand , the conference, open to staff and students, will take place at the University between Friday 31 July and Monday 3 August.

Across the weekend, the conference will explore three main themes: War On Land, War on Sea and The Culture of War.

In addition to the interesting and informative sessions throughout the conference, Saturday will involve an event in collaboration with The Battlefield Trust. Sunday willÌýbe made up ofÌýexcursionsÌýto the Mary Rose Exhibition, a visit to Portchester CastleÌýandÌýlunch at Titchfield Abbey and Barn, before the day rounds off with a conference dinner at .

The keynote speakers of the conference include: Professor Bertrand Schnerb (Lille), Dr Andrew Ayton (Hull), Dr Alexandra Hildred (Mary Rose Trust), Dr Thom Richardson (Royal Armouries, Leeds) and Professor Anne Curry from the University.

Author and historian Dr Ian Mortimer will deliverÌý‘The Meaning of War’ as aÌýSpecial Public Lecture.
