Staff have the opportunity to join a Cycle to Work Scheme run by and take advantage of tax savings on the purchase of a bike, while keeping fit and contributing to a greener economy.
You can buy your bike from any听of the 2,000 independent cycle shops,听including 听and听numerous stores across Southampton, including Decathlon, Cycleworld and Hargroves.
Things you might not know about the Cycle to Work Scheme:
1. Your Cyclescheme application can include safety equipment and accessories without the need to include a bike in your request. To submit a safety equipment-only request, please follow the guide
2. You can take out a听hire agreement to obtain a new bike or safety equipment only, when your existing hire agreement ends.
3. If you have any maintenance issues,听the University runs a Bike Doctor service every fortnight, on the red brick area in front of the Students’ Union Shop. Please check the or bike shed notices for details.
