Understanding black and minority ethnic (BME) academics’ careers

Black and minority ethnic (BME) academics, of any grade, are invited to complete aÌýÌýrun byÌýa University research project to understand the experience of BMEÌýleaders in higher education institutions (HEIs).

The projectÌýcalled Ìýdraws on survey data to provide an overall picture, followed by case study interviews with BME academics in senior decision-making roles.

Research findings will be used to inform HEIs on ways they can helpÌýBME academics progress into senior roles.

This project is a joint collaboration betweenÌýÌý(pictured) and , Faculty Of Business Law and Sport at the University of Winchester.

BME is defined as individuals who identify as Black, Asian or Chinese and those who are from mixed heritage backgrounds.
