The University is launching three new MOOCs (massive open online courses), which staff and students are invited to join.

What is a MOOC?
A massive open online course (MOOC) is a free study programme designed to be studied online by large numbers of students.
Each course runs over aÌýcertain periodÌýof time, andÌýcan be joined at any point during the teaching. This enables learners to engage with areas and issues which interest them most.
What can I learn about?
In partnership with Future Learn, the University is currently offering threeÌýonline courses which begin today (Monday 19 October). TheÌýcourses can also be joined at any point during their course.
: Marking the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt, this courseÌýaims to explore the myths and realities of the battler. The course will run for two weeks, and will be led by subject expert .
:ÌýThis course will aim to introduce new concepts and applications of digital marketing. The course will be led by Professor in Marketing,Ìý, and will run for three weeks.
:ÌýDeveloped in partnership with British Council, this course will explore the learning of a second language.. This course will be led by Lecturer inÌýLinguistics , and Sara Pierson, from theÌýBritish Council, runningÌýfor four weeks.
