As a psychologist, Associate Professor Wakefield has built a large programme of work around interventions for children with cancer and their families. She leads the Behavioural Sciences Unit (BSU) at the Kids Cancer Centre, Sydney Children鈥檚 Hospital.
Associate Professor Wakefield聽was awarded a three year Diamond Jubilee International Visiting Fellowship in 2016, which will be hosted by and Associate in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
