The University has held its position amongst the top 20 UK universities in the annual aggregation of UK league tables published by the Times Higher Education.
Southampton is 17th in the which combines the results of the UK鈥檚 three main domestic university rankings 鈥� , and The Times and The Sunday Times .
Amongst Russell Group universities, Southampton is ranked听11th in the table which is once again, headed by Cambridge and Oxford at听1st and听2nd听respectively.
The Times Higher鈥檚 Table of Tables consolidates a year in which Southampton placed听17th in the Complete University Guide,听16th in The Guardian University Guide and听21st in the Good University Guide.
In the latest global league tables, the University maintained its top 100 status in the 2016/17 QS World Rankings, placing 87th overall and 17th amongst UK universities listed. Southampton is ranked 121st in the world and 16th amongst UK universities listed in the World University Rankings for 2016/17.
