First year students: can you believe聽it’s already been a month聽since the beginning of Freshers’ Week? No? Neither can we!
We’d love to hear about your first month’s experience聽at the University, as well as聽the city of Southampton. That’s why we’ve launched an Instagram competition just for you.
Prizes:
- 1 x 2聽cocktails and 2 tapas at
- 1 x 拢20 Waterstones voucher
- 1 x 拢10 voucher for

You’ll need to:
- Post a photo taken around your campus or the city itself, which you feel best represents your first month here as a student.
- Include a brief description of your first month experience (doesn’t have to be longer than one sentence).
- Include the hashtag: #FirstUoSMonth
- Please ensure your profile is set to public, as we won’t be able to track your entry if your profile is private.
For example: 鈥淢y #FirstUoSMonth was all about having a good time and settling into this lovely city, my new home.鈥�
The competition kicks off at聽12:00 today (Monday 24 October) and all entries must be received by 17:00 on Monday 14 November. That’s three weeks to get snapping.
