First year students: we’d love to hear about your first month’s experience聽at the University, as well as聽the city of Southampton. That’s why we’ve set up an Instagram competition just for you.
A big thank you to everyone who’s already entered – your pictures and messages have been amazing. With the competition closing this coming Monday (14 November), make sure you get your entry in – and please remember that your profile must be set to public, or we won’t be able to view your post!

You’ll need to:
- Post a photo taken around your campus or the city itself, which you feel best represents your first month here as a student.
- Include a brief description of your first month experience (doesn’t have to be longer than one sentence).
- Include the hashtag: #FirstUoSMonth
- Please ensure your profile is set to public, as we won’t be able to track your entry if your profile is private.
For example: 鈥淢y #FirstUoSMonth has been a whirlwind of new people, new places, books and nights out.鈥�
The competition began at 12:00 on Monday 24 October and all entries must be received by 17:00 on Monday 14 November, so get snapping!
