Students who have teaching activities taking place in Building 2a, Rooms 2065 (L/T H) and/or 2077 (L/T J) during the next few weeks are advised to wrap up warm due to a scheduled heating switch off.
As part of the development works taking place on Highfield Campus, a scheduled shut-down of the district heating system will be taking place聽from Friday 3 February听迟辞 Thursday 9 February. This shut-down will affect the heating connection to Building 2a, which will be without centralised heating provision聽across these dates.
A temporary heating solution will be provided by placing electric heaters in both of the lecture theatres, however, this may not provide the same level of heating as the standard heating provision in the building, so warm clothing is recommended when you attend any teaching activity.
