són, the city’s new professional orchestra, has been chosen by the Music in Romsey organisation to launch the Abbey’s 2017 concert season.
Founded in 2015 by , conducting teacher in the University’s Department of Music, and Anca Campanie, concert violinist, són aims to make exciting and emotional musical repertoires accessible to everyone.

The programme will include Mozart, Beethoven and Vaughan Williams, showcasing the talents of the professional players alongside a group of master class students from the University, as well as international soprano Lucy Knight.
Taking place at 19:30 on Saturday 18 March, tickets are priced from £12 – £22 and are available by .
