Student Minds Southampton is excited to introduce a new peer support workshop, designed for those supporting friends or family members with mental health difficulties.

The first session will be held on Thursday 9 March ڰdz19:00– 20:30 in Room 1025, Building 58, Highfield Campus.
The workshops aims to:
● Increase your knowledge about mental health.
● Increase your knowledge and understanding of the supportive role.
● Develop your skills and increase your confidence to enable you to support others experiencing mental health difficulties, including improving communication skills and looking after yourself.

The course will consist of three sessions held on Thursday 9,16Ի 23Ѳ, ڰdz19:00– 20:30 in Room 1025, Building 58, Highfield Campus.
Each session will be facilitated by two trained volunteers.
All students who are supporting a friend or family member with mental health difficulties are welcome to take part.
If you are currently experiencing mental health difficulties, this may not be the most appropriate course for you. Student Minds Southampton also offers a ‘Positive Minds’ workshop for those with mild to moderate depression and an ‘Eating Difficulties’ workshop.
