Students and staff are invited to take part in the聽, with bookings now open for a number of events.
Run by the , the Festival will run from 8 to 26 May, and aims to celebrate the University鈥檚 doctoral researchers and bring the research community together.
鈥楥ommunity鈥� is the theme for this year’s Festival and there will be over 30 events over the three-week period, including:
- : Showing the award-winning documentary Tomorrow in partnership with . Staff, students and members of the public are welcome to attend. Please click聽聽to watch the trailer and find out more.
- : Bake a cake, or other baked goods, that visually portrays the topic/findings of your PhD. Postgraduate Researchers (PGRs) can enter the competition by clicking , or if you would like to attend the showcase, please click .
- : Nominations are now open for the Doctoral College Director鈥檚 Awards, recognising PGRs聽for exceptional achievements beyond their research project. Nominations close on聽28 April.
- : Entry is now open for the 鈥楥ommunity鈥� themed photography competition. Entries close on聽28 April. Open to PGRs聽only.
- : iSolutions are running a host of PGR-tailored workshops throughout the Festival, including 鈥榩roducing an effective research poster鈥� and 鈥榳orking with a text in a thesis in Word鈥�. Open to PGRs only.
- : Come along to this workshop and explain your thesis using emojis. Open to PGRs only.
