Library聽opening times are altered regularly to accommodate the study and research needs of its users throughout the year.
For July and most of August, the Hartley library will open Monday听– Friday from 08:30, and on Saturday and Sunday from 09:00.

In the Hartley library, the Academic Skills Hub will be open to provide advice and guidance on a full range of academic skills聽from 10:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 16:00, Monday听– Friday. If you’re unable to visit the Hub, there’s information on all aspects of academic skills on the library’s website:聽

Please bear in mind that the Hartley library is undergoing extensive refurbishment this summer and your preferred study space may be closed or noisier than normal. Library staff will guide and advise you about the quietest and most comfortable spaces for study, but if you prefer to go to a different library, you’re welcome to use the National Oceanographic Library at Southampton Docks:
There’s no parking available at the site, but you can use the U1C bus to get there. Please remember to take your University ID card with you.
