, the new book by Professorial Fellow in English , is this week’s Book of the Week on BBC聽Radio 4.
The book, which was published on Thursday 13 July by Harper Collins, explores our ongoing fascination with the shoreline, and takes watery journeys from Provincetown聽to Portsmouth.
It is inspired in part by Philip’s daily morning swims here in Southampton, where he teaches modules on narrative non-fiction, and the relationship between writing and place.
