Simon is an experienced businessman, who has managed a number of early stage life science companies, helping them to grow and achieve success.ÌýSimon was headhunted to become CEO of a University of Southampton spinout, Karus Therapeutics, where heÌýhelped to build the company through a challenging time whilst securing a major investment.
The business isÌýnowÌýwell regarded in the UK biotech sector as it works to transform the lives of cancer patients that no longer respond to other treatments. In his talk, Simon will focus on real-life examples of the journey that Karus made in taking the company from a University spinout to clinical-stage company, looking at the challenges and how these were addressed.
