Fancy being part of聽our 2018 University Challenge team?
Southampton’s 2015 University Challenge team captained by Patricia Goggin.
All students enrolled at the University until at least May 2018 are eligible to try-out on one of the following dates:
Monday 23 October, 11:00 – 14:00
Tuesday 24 October,听11:00 – 15:00
Wednesday 25 October,听12:00 – 14:00
Thursday 26 October,听聽9:00 – 12:00 and 14:00 – 16:00
Friday 27 October,听12:00 – 17:00
Try outs will take place in Meeting Room 1, Level 1 of Building 42, Highfield Campus.
Trying out for the team starts with a 50-question written general knowledge test. The highest scorers will then be invited to take part in a Mastermind-style oral quiz. From there, a five-person team 鈥� four team members and a reserve 鈥� will be chosen to represent the University.
If you would like to take part but cannot make the dates published, please contact Patricia Goggin to make alternative arrangements. Patricia captained Southampton鈥檚 University Challenge team in 2015, which qualified for the second round of the televised stage of the competition.
