Students have the chance to learn a new language, free of charge, alongside their degree thanks to Southampton Language Opportunity.
Throughout Semester 1 this year, weekly classes will be available in Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese and Russian. All the classes will take place at either Avenue Campus or Winchester School of Art (French, German, Italian, Spanish).
The classes are all aimed at beginners or pre-intermediate听(French, German, Spanish only)听students. Classes for the autumn will take place over 10 weeks, either on a Wednesday afternoon or Tuesday evening for two hours each week, from Monday 15听October to Thursday 10听January (Christmas break excluded). Continuation classes will be available on either a weekly or intensive basis in the spring and summer terms.
Places are limited so please ensure that you are able to commit the time and effort, which is highly intensive, for the entire 10 week session before submitting your application.
