The Confucius Institute is delighted to be offering free Mandarin courses for beginners. The courses will be made up of 8 lessons running weekly between 6 May 鈥� 26 June.
Both courses are aimed at those with no prior knowledge of the Chinese language and will focus on teaching the basics in terms of language as well as聽culture.

Mandarin and Calligraphy Course
Class A:
Every Monday, 18:00 – 19:30 between 6 May – 24 June.
Class B:
Every Wednesday, 18:00 – 19:30, between 8 May 鈥� 26 June.
You will learn :
- Pronunciation
- Basic expressions
- Chinese characters
- The history of the Chinese characters you will be writing
- Basic calligraphy strokes
- Chinese characters
- Your name in Chinese
Mandarin and Chinese Music Course
Every Tuesday,聽18:00听–听19:30 between 7 May 鈥� 25 June.
You will learn to:
- Understand Chinese vocabulary and expressions through Chinese music.
- Solve Chinese pronunciation methods (breath and sound location).
- Through the appreciation of Chinese instrumental music, folk songs, to understand different Chinese regional dialects, customs, culture.
- Create your own Chinese songs
