In the lead up to Alzheimer’s Society’s (#DAW2019) which takes place from 20–26 May, we would like to invite staff and students to come together to help build awareness of dementia throughout the University community.

Alzheimer’s Society is one of the UK’s leading dementia charities, providing information and support and working to improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia.
Over a third of people living with dementia feel lonely or have lost touch with their friends following a diagnosis. With thousands of people living with dementia facing isolation, the theme for this year’s Dementia Action Week is encouraging inclusion. By coming together and taking action we can have a special part to play in helping to achieve this goal.
Dementia Action Week 2019 is a great opportunity for us to take further social action against dementia.
