It is with immense sadness that we inform staff and students of the passing of Pat Sherliker, a former member of Student and Academic Administration (SAA) based in the then-named Faculty of Social, Human and Mathematical Sciences.

Pat passed away on 27 September 2019 and her funeral will be held on Wednesday 16 October. All are welcome to attend, and can .
Claire Caffrey, Team Leader, Graduate School, Faculty of Social Sciences said:
“Pat joined the University in 2005, firstly working in the Economics and Social Statistics Programme Support Office, followed by the Social Sciences and Mathematical Sciences Student Office, and finally in the Faculty Graduate School, before retiring in February 2018.
“Pat will be remembered not only for her outstanding contribution to the experience of both students and academic staff, but as a friend adored by her colleagues. She will be overwhelmingly missed and her memory will be lovingly cherished.”
Pat leaves behind her husband Roger, daughters Gemma and Kessia, six grandchildren and her sister Deb. Our thoughts go out to them at this sad time.
