Our University has successfully bid for 19 studentships from the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC, a part of UK Research and Innovation) in partnership with four other institutions.
The South Coast Biosciences (SoCoBio) Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) is one of just 12 successful bids across the UK.
Funding for the studentships is part of a 拢170m boost to fund 1,700 PhD researchers over five annual cohorts at academic institutions nationwide.

Professor Matthew Terry, Director of the SoCoBio DTP and Deputy Head of School (Research and Enterprise) of the School of Biological Sciences commented:
