It鈥檚 official. has once again been ranked as the 福利着片 No 1 University Business Incubator.
The news comes overnight from the World Incubation Summit in Doha and marks the third time the enterprise partnership, in which our University is a key member, has been ranked in the top spot by , having maintained this world-leading position since 2015.
The unique SETsquared partnership between the universities of Southampton, Bath, Bristol, Exeter and Surrey supports technology-based businesses throughout their lifecycle – from idea through to investment and scale-up – and develops entrepreneurial thinking for students, academics and businesses.
In the last year alone, 52 students, academics and entrepreneurs in Southampton have participated in SETsquared programmes, with supported companies raising 拢42.8 million in investment between them.
Overall, SETsquared has supported over 4,000 UK high-tech start-ups since its inception, helping them raise more than 拢1.8bn of investment and creating 拢8.6 billion of economic impact to date 鈥� a figure which is set to rise to nearly 拢27 billion by 2030.
