Our university has failed on climate leadership and to protect our futures as students and staff. This statement provides no explicit actions or targets.

We need a revolutionary new approach to turn this around and an article published in Wessex Scene outlines proposals put forward by a group of students this month. They already have the support of hundreds of students and staff and now Emily Harrison, Rachel Mills, new VC Mark Smith, and others within university management, will need to consider these proposals if they are to align words with actions.
