We work in a diverse community at the University and challenges can arise when different cultures work together in teams.

Dr Jill Doubleday works in the Academic Centre for International Students and is running a workshop to demonstrate the best methods to facilitate harmonious and productive intercultural group work.
This event aims to provide the skills for the attendee to:
• Demonstrate an understanding of some of the factors that can affect intercultural group work
• Raise awareness among students of ways in which different attitudes and expectations can hinder group work
• Offer students guidance and techniques for working together more harmoniously
The workshop, Managing Intercultural Group Work, takes place on Wednesday 8 January 2020 from 12:30 – 13:30. Bookings need to be made via .
The event is open to all staff, both Academic and Professional Services who want to better understand the dynamics between different cultures.
