Good to hear that it was useful, Rachel! Definitely doing 8 hour days… if you include brokering peace agreements with the kids, trying to understand the KS2 algebra worksheets assigned to them, escaping to a dark corner of the shed, just for a moment…

As a mature first year student nurse, my expectations of myself versus reality are a struggle, the guilt is huge and the assumption that EVERYONE else (particularly brainy, organised, self-disciplined senior academic staff!! 😉 ) is on top of everything and smashing out 8 hour days Mon-Fri, hangs over me like a black cloud. So thank you….I will do what I can today, and cut myself some slack.

Interesting! Highlights the huge diversity of experiences and preferences of people working at the University.

I can concentrate without the distractions of a shared office, I save the time I would have spent commuting and spend it with my family, exercising or resting. Long may lockdown continue.

Lets be kind to ourselves and the people we interact with in person and online. We are all trying our best in stressful times.
