This week’s lecture: How do oceans and the climate interact?

In the Southampton Bite-Size Lecture Series this week, the Engagement and Advancement Events team is releasing a video from their Public Lecture featuring Dr Eleanor Frajka-Williams, former Associate Professor of Oceanography at the University, and Professor Stephen Belcher, Met Office Chief Scientist.

In this 20-minute lecture, Eleanor and Stephen give a fascinating insight into large-scale ocean circulation, its impact on climate change, and how this fits into the wider UK environmental science landscape.

You can watch the best bits of this lecture here:

In case you’ve missed any of the previous releases from the series, you can catch up on . Speakers from past weeks include Jon Sopel, alumnus and BBC North America Editor, Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Baroness Patricia Scotland, Secretary-General of the Commonwealth.
