If your research is funded by Wellcome or UKRI, then prepare for change in Open Access policies soon. Plan S implementation started on 1 January 2021 and many funders are consulting or have changed their open access polices to reflect the of Plan S 鈥� aiming to achieve full and immediate open access for all publicly funded research.
UKRI are on their new Open Access (OA) policy. Their setting out the proposed OA policy and related considerations received over 350 responses and the policy is set to be published in the 2nd quarter of 2021. We will keep you informed and explain any changes on our .
The Wellcome Trust鈥檚 open access policy changed on 1 January 2021. If your research is supported by a Wellcome grant and you cannot publish in a fully open access journal or through a you will need to use the Coalition S which supports researchers to publish in the journal of their choice.
