Online Learning Grants听
We recognise听students听are still facing difficulties听in accessing appropriate IT equipment to enable them to successfully engage with their studies online. Eligible students can therefore apply for an Online Learning Grant as a financial contribution towards these costs.鈥�听
Open to all UK, EU,鈥痑nd International鈥疷ndergraduate,听Postgraduate Taught and听Postgraduate听Research students, these grants are a non-repayable award towards the costs of essential hardware, Internet access,听equipment,听and鈥痑肠肠别蝉蝉辞谤颈别蝉.听We鈥檙e听also broadening the听criteria听from previous听funding听rounds, and students can听now听apply for additional equipment听which they require, including听software,听desks, additional听memory,听and other equipment students can evidence as necessary听for听their course.听We will use set costs when making an award to ensure all students are treated equally.鈥�听
Students who have previously received an Online Learning Grant are eligible to apply听and will receive a 鈥榯op up鈥櫶�of funding from what they have previously received听if awarded.听Please be aware that funding is limited and if we are oversubscribed then we will award based on individual need.听听

Hardship Grants听
In addition to the impact of online studies we know that many students have struggled to cover rent, particularly those who have struggled to continue to work or find employment in lockdown.听 Therefore, we are offering grants of 拢500 to students who have struggled听to cover housing costs during this period. To apply for this grant, you need听to听have lived in and be paying rent听or a mortgage听in the UK since January 2021 however all students including international students are eligible to apply.听

We understand that some students may be struggling financially听in other ways,听and the Student Support Fund is still open and available for applications from all students.听 You can find out more about this fund听on our website and submit an application through our new online platform.听

These funds are听expected to close by 17:00听on Friday听5听March,听however there is a finite budget and so if we see high volumes of applications, it will close earlier.鈥�听
