Professor Mark Spearing was joined by over 150 colleagues at the University’s Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 Submission ceremony back in March 2021 to recognise the contributions of almost 2,000 colleagues from all parts of the University and celebrate the submission of our 25 Units of Assessment to Research England.

If you have ever wondered why the REF 2021 is important then join Professor Mark Spearing, Peter Staniczenko and David Steynor as they explain what was involved in the submission, how the University will leverage the 100+ impact case studies that were produced, and how the £50 million annual REF income is allocated to Schools.
The REF (Research Excellence Framework) is the system for assessing the quality of research in UK higher education institutions.
Both events will be recorded and held in CHEP’s SharePoint page.
