Staff have been invited to give their feedback on a draft strategy for the University, in the second phase of a consultation which was started earlier this year.

In an email to all staff this morning, the Vice-Chancellor Mark E. Smith both looked forward to the start of the new academic year and announced the next stage of our strategy consultation, saying:
鈥淭he pandemic has shown that our mission as one of the world鈥檚 foremost centres of knowledge creation and sharing has never been more important. Which is why the development of our new University Strategy is so important, and so exciting 鈥 and why I hope you will once again join together as a community to help shape this strategy.
鈥淵ou have already played a vital role in moulding the foundations. Over the last few months, your views and your voices have informed and inspired the progress of those foundations into a first full draft of the new strategy. I am pleased to 鈥 and in doing so would emphasise that it is a draft, open to discussion 鈥 and to encourage you to contribute to this second stage of the consultation.鈥
In the first phase of the consultation, staff gave feedback on the foundations of the strategy. Their feedback has informed the latest draft strategy. You can provide your feedback on this draft strategy until 14 October.
