These workshops, organised by the Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP), are designed to support learning, teaching and research and are open for all staff to attend.
Dr Phil Higham is revisiting his recent talk at the CHEP Festival of Learning and Teaching on the subject of ‘Metacognitive illusions’ and there is an opportunity for anyone wanting extra writing motivation at CHEP鈥檚 Monday morning ‘Power Hour of Writing’ sessions.

Metacognitive illusions can lead to serious consequences. Dr Phil Higham will outline the research, delineate the problems, and discuss ways that they might be overcome.
Thursday 4 November –
Giles, Head of Public Policy|Southampton, aims to demystify the process of engaging with public policy actors and highlight the support available from the team.

Join in with a series of Monday morning Power Hours to provide you with that elusive protected time to focus on writing whilst facilitating a sense of community.

This session will give you an understanding of the importance and key principles of bibliometrics – a key technique for measuring this impact.
