Our former Chief Operating Officer (COO), Richard Middleton, has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the .
Richard, who spent seven years as Chair of the , has been recognised for his services to the Commonwealth and Higher Education.
He took up his post as interim COO at the University of Southampton in January 2020 and stayed until December 2021. Prior to this he had served in a wide range of leadership roles at several UK universities.
