Would you like to take part in an on-road driving study?
Funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, we are looking for drivers with a full and valid UK driving licence and access to their own insured vehicle to take part in a study that looks to investigate the factors drivers consider when driving in urban/neighbourhood roads.

What’s involved:
The study has four parts. First, you will be asked to complete two pre-study questionnaires. Once you have completed the pre-study questionnaires, you will be trained to think aloud whilst driving, before you drive a predefined route around Southampton, whilst thinking aloud. Once you arrive back at Boldrewood Campus following the on-road part of the study, you will be interviewed about your decision-making at various points of interest from the earlier drive.
Duration:
This study will take approximately 1hr 30mins of your time and you will be asked to follow COVID-19 procedures throughout the experiment.
Compensation:
You will receive £15 as compensation for expenses incurred whilst taking part in this study.
If you would like to take part in this study, please email Peter Youssef at psy1g16@soton.ac.uk by the 15th May 2022.
ERGO number: 71864
