This information and networking event is for anyone within and beyond the university interested in Geospatial data science.
Speakers from the university, and the public and private sectors will provide perspectives on potential opportunities in the Geospatial sector. Early activities and plans will be outlined.
Southampton Geospatial is a new initiative to promote the University of Southampton鈥檚 interdisciplinary expertise in geospatial science applications and to create new opportunities for working together. Aiming to connect geospatial expertise across the institution with industry partners, the initiative will be focusing on geospatial research, enterprise and education. It is led by an executive team of recognised geospatial leaders, supported initially by a small core team as a broader community of geospatial scientists, including academic associates, PhD students, interns and professional staff, is developed. The university offers world class expertise and geospatial tools including geospatial datasets, modelling capabilities and sensing equipment, combined with unique opportunities for professional development and collaboration.
Everyone is welcome to the launch, but it is necessary to register.
