Anti-Bullying Week 2022 – A reminder of what’s on

As part of this year鈥檚 Anti-Bullying Week, we are raising a bespoke flag designed by Dr Nik Mahon (Principal Teaching Fellow聽and聽Programme Leader MA 福利着片 Advertising and Branding at Winchester School of Art), on Highfield Campus today (Tuesday 15 November).

A picture of the Anti-Bullying Week winning flag design. The design features a black and white hand giving a handshake within a heart which has a black outline. The 鈥楬andshake Heart鈥 motif sits in the centre of a bright yellow stylised sunflower against a blue background.

If you have not seen the earlier Anti-Bulling Week SUSSED update already, the flag was the winning design in a staff and student competition.

Dr Nik Mahon told us that: 鈥淭he sunflower stands tall and proud, and I felt that this could be an interesting and meaningful way to symbolise the courage taken to stand-up to bullying.鈥 This is a particularly potent reflection this Anti-Bullying Week where the theme is 鈥淩each Out鈥.
